It was a pleasure to support Slug & Lettuce last week with the reopening of its flagship venue on Deansgate, Manchester, following a £680k renovation. There were press, influencers, media partners, pink flamingos and a lady serving glasses of prosecco from an actual prosecco dress that I need in my wardrobe!

For a few months, I’ve been working on a glorious project as the first editor of a new magazine called Free From Living, created for the allergy community. One of my first tasks was to interview TV legend, Steph McGovern, about IBS and gut health. Today, I picked up edition three, the last that I’ve edited and wow, what a journey. I’ve worked as a freelance journalist on and off since I left uni and this project has really rekindled that passion. For now, I’m focusing on comms, but always open to writing and editing briefs. I’ve also learnt so much about the free from world too; which is coming in very handy at work, and at home.

Leeds is the first location outside London to welcome Zoom by Ocado, the online retailer’s super speedy delivery service, and I had the pleasure of launching this to the media.

Zoom by Ocado’s new warehouse in the city is home to 70 state-of-the-art robots which pick the orders, plus 130 new jobs. The service has 10,000 products from Ocado and it’s partner, Marks and Spencer, meaning… Percy Pigs delivered to your door! 🐷
